Creating a student-first digital platform to simplify scholarship discovery and build trust.

Scholarships.com is a platform dedicated to connecting students with scholarship opportunities and financial aid. The redesign project focused on making the experience more accessible, trustworthy, and user-centered. The goal was to streamline the search and application process, modernize the brand identity, and ensure the platform could scale with future growth. As part of the design team, I contributed to UI execution, research synthesis, and interaction flows that supported the overall design direction led by our senior designer.

The design philosophy centered on creating a platform that is both functional and trustworthy. Visual design choices — approachable colors, clean typography, and supportive illustrations — were used to build trust and make the experience engaging for students.

Our process moved from research insights into wireframes, testing, and final UI design, ensuring every decision was grounded in user needs.

We began with discovery research, mapping out key challenges and opportunities. Strategy workshops helped define the most critical user journeys. From there, wireframes and prototypes were created to test navigation, filtering, and scholarship listings. I supported the design team in refining UI elements and documenting reusable components for the emerging design system. Usability testing provided feedback that shaped the final layouts, ensuring the platform delivered both simplicity and trust.
