Transforming Risk Insights into Clear, Actionable Dashboards

Halcyon is a compliance and risk management platform designed to help organizations track, audit, and act on complex data. The redesign project focused on improving usability, increasing adoption, and making risk insights more actionable for multiple user groups, including administrators, analysts, auditors, and executives. As a UI/UX Designer, I contributed to research synthesis, prototyping, and UI execution under the guidance of the lead designer.

The primary objective was to redesign Halcyon’s risk and compliance dashboards to make data visualization clearer, workflows more efficient, and user adoption stronger across all archetypes.

The project addressed low adoption and usability challenges caused by fragmented workflows and unclear data visualization. By redesigning the platform, the team aimed to simplify compliance auditing, streamline reporting, and present risk data in ways users could act on with confidence. My role as a designer included creating wireframes, refining UI layouts, and documenting design system components to ensure scalability.

The process moved from research insights into archetypes, wireframes, and prototypes, before evolving into polished dashboards and a scalable design system.

The project began with research and stakeholder interviews, which identified challenges in compliance reporting and risk interpretation. These insights were synthesized into archetypes and journey maps, highlighting opportunities for simplification. I contributed to prototyping key workflows, including dashboard navigation and reporting tools. The team iterated on multiple UI versions, testing with stakeholders and refining based on feedback. My work centered on building clean UI layouts, supporting design system documentation, and ensuring cross-device consistency.
